The Ivy and Gin'ja week |
|
| |
 |
|
From 16-21 October, you’re invited to come and relish the dishes for which Londoners book months in advance.
Alan Bird, Head Chef of the legendary restaurant “The Ivy” in London, will fuse culinary talents with Dominique Blais, our Executive Chef.
The two chefs will create gastronomic delights that will be served in the chic seafood restaurant of Gin’ja.
The Ivy is renowned for its excellent take on modern British and European food with the emphasis on fresh ingredients. Teaming up with Dominique Blais, Alan Bird will re-interpret some of his best loved dishes introducing Mauritian flavours, and taking advantage of the abundance of fresh produce to be found in Mauritius.

Divali : the Festival of Lights |
|
| |
 |
|
The Festival of Light is a celebration of joy, happiness and for many Mauritians, a time for sharing.
Divali signifies the central theme that represents the victory of truth over evil; or light over darkness. The history of Divali is replete with legends and stories linked to the Hindu scriptures.
Le Telfair Golf & Spa Resort celebrates Divali on Saturday 21st October with an array of activities that will give our guests the opportunity to pause and reflect, to make special memories with family and friends, to laugh and enjoy what life offers us.

Father Christmas is taking an alternative mode of transport this year: Speedboat…
Le Telfair will be celebrating their Second Anniversary this Christmas in style with a whole range of events and activities.
To mark the coming of the New Year, Le Telfair and the other two resorts in the Bel Ombre region will be showcasing a joint firework display. Likely to be the most spectacular on this island, this display will be just one of the many highlights over the period. Other events include: Indian dancing and Mauritian Sega shows; Latin American Quartet; Mauritian Creole Jazz band; and even a quartet playing classics from the 80s and 90s!
Christmas Eve will be celebrated with carols and a magician will be hard at work entertaining children while stockings are filled. Then the following day Father Christmas will be reaching the resort by speedboat... New Years’ Eve will see Disney characters and clowns for the children and DJ Steve promises to keep the dance floor moving until the early hours of the morning.
Gala dinners will satisfy tastebuds with the Chateau de Bel Ombre, for example, laying on a feast of locally sourced produce with a French twist. For the children there will be a daily themed buffet – from Harry Potter to a Mauritian night where they learn the art of Sega dancing. One of the nights will also see the children perform a show for their parents at the Kids’ Club.
So whether you want to participate in the festivities or simply relax in the luxurious surroundings of the resort, perhaps with a visit to the Six Senses Spa or golf course, Le Telfair offers something for everyone this holiday period.
